Der Vortrag wird zunächst einen kurzen Überblick über die Photovoltaikforschung und ihre industrielle Umsetzung geben. Wie jedes andere Halbleiterbauelement funktionieren Solarzellen nur, indem gezielt Defekte, Kristallbaufehler oder Fremdatome eingebaut werden. Ich werde darstellen, wie wir im Labor für Photovoltaik Defekte untersuchen, und an welchen neuen Solarzellenkonzepten wir arbeiten.
16:15-17:15 Semiconducteur synthesis for solar cells

Solar cells should be efficient and cost effective. Key to this is the quality of the semiconductor at the heart of solar cells. The quality of the semiconductor is defined by its material properties, which in turn are controlled by the synthesis method. Two methods commonly used at the Laboratory for Photovoltaics, a high energy process (physical vapor deposition) and a low energy process (electrochemistry) will be compared. Can a low energy, and thus low cost process, provide a high quality semiconductor?

Wir zeigen Ihnen unsere Labore und ein paar kleine Experimente, die auch Schüler selbst durchführen können, bei denen es um Elektrochemie, die Wechselwirkung von Magneten und Leitern und die Eigenschaften des Lichts geht.
Ces séminaires sont destinés à tous les enseignants des lycées du Luxembourg dans la limite des places disponibles. Sur proposition d’un enseignant, des élèves motivés peuvent y participer. Le nombre de participants est limité à quarante pour la journée du 12 mars et à vingt pour la journée du 26 mars. Préférence sera donnée aux demandeurs qui désireront assister aux deux séances. Le cas échéant, les places seront attribuées dans l’ordre des inscriptions. L‘Université du Luxembourg délivrera des attestations de participation.
