Over the past 25 years MIRAD microwave AG has accumulated an impressive track record in the field of passive RF components and high performance sub-systems for the satellite communication industry, namely the development, design and manufacturing of high performing antenna feed systems typically used in satellite earth stations. MIRAD products and services are used in commercial and military satellite communication as well as for various space-tracking stations supporting deep space missions worldwide.

MIRAD systems SA / Luxembourg is currently looking for a ground station antenna system engineer which shall be experienced in design, project management, leading of multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams, on-site installation and verification of complex earth station antennas for the next possible date.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The person shall be responsible for:
_Preparation of level 2 and level 3 specifications based on customer’s specification. This includes system design, link budget and antenna system performance analysis
_Project risk analysis
_Project management and interfacing with all the involved engineering teams, including technical follow-up of subcontractors, build up and maintain successful technical customer and partner     relationships
_Preparation of documentation such as specifications, technical system specifications, contractual documents, test plans and procedures (Hard- and Software), interface control documents
_Preparation/Supervision of the installation including adjacent infrastructure
_Training of operators and support engineers
_Final test and verification of earth station antennas
_Contributing to other telecom related projects;
_Participation in proposal activities, trade-off studies of antenna concepts, contributing to innovative R&D programmes

Skills & Experience
_University degree in RF, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
_5 – 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position
_Experience with satellite RF technologies and satellite based communication networks
_Experience with testing methodologies and test planning
_Be able to integrate into and/or lead cross-functional project teams;
_Proven project, budget and time management capabilities, i.e. deliver products, services, systems internally as well as to external customers within budget, specification and on time;
_Strong analytical sense, innovative mind, self-starting qualities, coordination and priority setting abilities, accurate and result-driven
_English full working proficiency, any other language-skills are beneficial
_Excellent communications and conflict management skills in a multicultural and interdisciplinary set-up
_Awareness of relevant technological developments, market trends, competitive factors, customer requirements, standardization, licensing and regulatory aspects
_Readiness to travel / work internationally
_Computer Literate in relevant programs
Kowledge of / experience in any other related topic, e.g., scientific applications, RF design, analysis and verification of spacecraft feed chain components or ranging systems is an asset.
