Roberto Boettger wins first VALENTINY foundation award_

Winner of the first award program of VALENTINY foundation is Roberto Boettger, architecture student from the Architectural Association School in London, Great Britain
· Applications from 13 different countries including China and Russia have been submitted
· The winner selection took place by an international jury in Luxembourg on Monday, September 21, 2015
“Choosing the work with the strongest potential was by no means a small feat,” said jury member Peter Cachola Schmal, Director of the German Museum of Architecture in Frankfurt.. “After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down to the top 3 winners as well as the winner of a special award. We believe that the work of Mr. Boettger, winner of the first price, embodies the vision, drive and sensibility to successfully define a new urban common place.”
Applications from 13 different countries including Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Armenia, Japan, China and Russia have been submitted. The
winner work of Roberto Boettger, Brazilian, studying in London, deals with the connection of an existing meat market from 1868 with a railway station at 27 meters in the ground that is planned
to be built in 2017. Winners of the second and third price as well as of a special award are (in this sequence) Jakobus Schwartz, Hochschule Trier, Germany; Alexandra Völker, HTWK Leipzig,
Germany and Nora Amelie Sahr, Vienna University of Technology, Austria.
The award is endowed with 3,000 EUR for the first price and 1,000 EUR for the second one. Furthermore, the first three winners received a bronze sculpture, designed by Francois Valentiny. One-year subscriptions to the architectural magazine ADATO, which is published by VALENTINY Architects were given to the first ten winners. The winner selection took place by an international
jury in Luxembourg on Monday, September 21, 2015.

In order to preserve and share the legacy of his entire work, Francois Valentiny, his family, office partners and home community decided to create a public institution in 2014.
