PAUL WURTH AWARD 2017_

For the fourth year running Paul Wurth awards also in 2017, students who have best demonstrated and been recognized for their Master Thesis contributing to the scientific advancement of energy-related and environmental issues. The competition is in line with Paul Wurth’s principle of continuous innovation and technological advance of its products and technologies and goes hand in hand with the purpose of promoting and encouraging young engineers at the beginning of their career.

The Paul Wurth Award includes a cash grant of EUR 2,000 for the first, EUR 1,500 for the second and EUR 1,000 for the third winner.

The contest targets students who have completed their Master studies in the field of Engineering or Sciences between 1 August 2016 and 30 September 2017.

During the last years, many interesting Master theses with creative and innovative topics from different universities were handed in. The selected candidates put for example a special emphasis on issues such as electric mobility, motor technology and energy management systems.

After a preliminary decision, the three selected graduates with the most pertinent theses of the current year are invited to present their topic in front of the Paul Wurth jury, who evaluates their work with regard to innovative aspects, feasibility as well as pertinence and coherence of the reflexion.

The closing date for this year’s registration is 30 September 2017.
