The Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) has the privilege of nominating two talented young researchers to participate as Luxembourg delegates at this exceptional event.
about 25 Nobel Laureates and ca. 500 selected young researchers from all over the world will meet in Lindau, Germany for the 61st Meeting of Nobel Laureates.
The Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates is a unique opportunity for young researchers to meet with Nobel Laureates in an informal manner. The 2011 Lindau Meeting will be dedicated to Physiology, Medicine and related disciplines.
In the mornings, Laureates will give plenary lectures about a current topic of their choice, while the afternoons feature discussions limited to Laureates and Young Researchers as well as a series of innovative session formats. Several panel discussions will be held throughout the Meeting as well, the most prominent being the interdisciplinary closing panel discussion on the Isle of Mainau on the last day of the Meeting. Besides the scientific program, the dialogue across generations is being enabled during various informal occasions in the course of the social program. Thus, Lindau provides ample opportunities to learn from outstanding researchers, to find inspiration from one another and to connect through ideas and friendship.
